In recent years, there has always been a chaotic phenomenon in the cable market: passing off inferior goods as high-quality ones, and chaotic cable prices. The author believes that to fundamentally solve such problems, we need to start with raw materials. For manufacturing enterprises, the first priority is to strengthen the quality control of raw materials for cable production. Raw materials are the foundation of products. To control product quality, we must start from the source of production. The quality of copper conductors, aluminum conductors, and cable compounds directly determines the various properties of wire and cable products. It is recommended that enterprises test certain important properties of these raw materials when purchasing them, such as the DC resistance of copper conductors, the mechanical properties and dielectric strength of cable compounds, etc., to ensure that the purchased raw materials meet quality standards. When raw materials enter the factory, the in-house raw material quality inspection department should inspect the quality of raw materials on a batch-by-batch basis, and eliminate the behavior of single-mindedly pursuing low cost while ignoring raw material quality.

Second, manufacturing enterprises should strengthen quality management and learn process technology. In order to improve the quality of wire and cable products, manufacturing enterprises should carry out related quality management and technical training work, learn relevant production and manufacturing and testing standards, integrate all factors, and establish a complete quality management and control system. There should be corresponding solution mechanisms for problems found in wire and cable production and manufacturing. Improve quality documents, create complete process cards, and ensure that process cards are not mixed or misused to produce defective products, and ensure that employees strictly follow quality documents for production, and strengthen employees' awareness of quality control.

Third, manufacturing enterprises should strengthen quality inspection and control work. Manufacturing enterprises should attach importance to routine tests, sampling tests, and factory tests, designate and improve inspection procedures, and regularly and orderly inspect raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products. In particular, they should attach importance to the coverage rate of routine tests and 100% factory tests, and promptly and effectively rework or repair non-conforming samples. Strive to discover non-conforming items as early as possible, analyze the causes in a timely manner, adjust processes and improve management as early as possible, and ensure that non-conforming products are not shipped out of the factory. For raw and auxiliary material enterprises, they should strengthen cooperation with cable enterprises, strengthen research on key technologies, cutting-edge technologies, and basic technologies that ensure quality, accelerate industrial structure adjustment through technological innovation, and improve the quality of products and the industry. Consciously resist illegal and non-compliant behavior, promote the construction of a wire and cable product quality supervision system, and deliver more positive energy to the wire and cable industry.
